This course is a re-connector for those colleagues who have previously completed the 6 or 8 day School Leadership programme. It will take the format of a residential and will focus on effective management of self and others.  

Session One – Building and Sustaining Team Development

This session will be led by Clare Moore, Director of Business Jigsaw.  Clare has trained more than 500 leaders and managers across the UK on various aspects of leadership and is familiar with the independent school sector. 

The conference provides an excellent opportunity for reflection and discussion on a range of issues relevant to building and sustaining team development including: 

  • How can I get my team to raise their game - we’re being asked to do more with less …
  • I really need to get more out of my team.
  • How can I identify and develop my team’s potential?
  • How can I strengthen one of my team players?
  • I need my team to grow and for members to take the lead 

Session Two – Managing Team Performance 

This session take the format of an employment law masterclass and will use a range of approaches to explore issues and approaches in tackling staff (under) performance in a range of contexts encompassing both conduct and competence.  This will be an interactive session with scenarios and case studies.  There will also be an opportunity for sharing practice with participants having an opportunity to share their knowledge and experience.
