Session One

Developing the Inclusive Classroom

Meeting the needs of children and young people with ASN is embedded in the Standard for Full Registration.  This workshop will be led by Kieron O’Brien, Chief Executive of Common Thread Schools and will provide a practical insight and strategies to meet the needs of youngsters with additional support needs.  Following this, participants will have an opportunity to shadow colleagues in an ASN school.

 Session Two

Completing the Probationary Period: Undertaking Practitioner Enquiry

Elaine Napier, Senior Education Officer (Early Phase and Professional Learning) from the GTCS, will outline a model that can be used in schools to support practitioner enquiry.  In June 2017, Probationers will be invited to the GTCS to share their enquiries,  with one being selected to go forward to the National Probationer event.

Elaine will also explore further aspects of the SFR and answer any questions relating to registration with GTCS.

Please register as soon as possible and by Friday 27 January at the latest.
