This annual conference provides an excellent opportunity for Support for Learning staff to network and all Support for Learning staff are warmly invited to attend.

Theme – Focus on ASD

Research suggests that around 700,000 people may be autistic, or more than 1 in 100 in the population – many of whom are children and young people in mainstream schools. While autism is incurable, the right support at the right time can make an enormous difference to people's lives.

The National Autistic Society - http://www.autism.org.uk/professionals/teachers.aspx -  provides a wealth of information and guidance designed to enable teachers to provide informed support to autistic children and young people in the mainstream school setting.

This year we are delighted that our annual support for learning conference is being led by specialist staff from Daldorch House School - part of The National Autistic Society’s education services.

The day will give participants knowledge and strategies to help classrooms become more socially inclusive thus allowing children and young people thrive.

Please register as soon as possible, and by October 21st  at the latest.
