Event Description

Unleash the Power of AI in Education: Join Our New Community of Practice!

Are you an educator passionate about transforming learning with technology? See the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to personalise learning and empower pupils?

Join our exciting new Community of Practice (CoP) dedicated to exploring the world of AI-powered education!

This CoP is designed for educators of all levels who share a vision for leveraging AI to enhance learning and teaching. Here, you will:

  • Discover innovative ways to integrate AI tools in your classroom.
  • Collaborate on projects to develop and test new AI-powered approaches to learning.
  • Stay informed about the latest research and trends in AI education.
  • Network with peers, learn from each other, and inspire fellow educators on this journey.

The CoP will be led by Pamela Boal, Director of Digital Strategy at Morrison's Academy. With a 20-year teaching background at Morrison's Academy, including 12 years in pastoral care, Pamela is passionate about harnessing technology's transformative power in education. Her journey began with using a BYOD and Google Workspace solution to seamlessly integrate technologies in all classrooms, this igniting a fire for innovative learning solutions. At SQA, Pamela has developed course assessment specifications, written and marked both exams and coursework in Computing Science, ensuring rigorous standards. She is keen to promote women in STEM and has spoken at the STACS virtual learning festival about the role of project-based learning in achieving this aim. Looking forward, she is eager to move beyond the AI-in-assessment debate and explore how Artificial Intelligence can truly enhance teaching and learning in the classroom.

Let's work together to unlock the potential of AI and create a more engaging and effective learning experience for all!
