Event Description

All practitioners

We are delighted to welcome back Mike Gershon to deliver this conference.

Time is precious to all teachers, and deciding which areas of pedagogy to focus on is an important decision. Research from the Education Endowment Foundation gives a clear sense of what works when it comes to teaching and learning, as well as which areas of pedagogy create the strongest outcomes for the time we invest in them.

Two of the most powerful areas we can focus on are metacognition and oral language interventions. In this one-day conference, author and educational consultant, Mike Gershon, will guide you through some of the best practical strategies and techniques any teacher can use to develop metacognition and oracy in their classroom.

Across the morning, Mike will take you on a journey into some of the key research, while emphasising what great practice can look like. Through discussion and experiential learning, you'll have opportunities to try out practical strategies and techniques, and think about how to adapt them for your learners.

In the afternoon, Mike will lead a session focussed on implementation, giving you the time and space to plan how you will take ideas from the morning and apply them to your own classroom. You'll leave inspired, enthused and ready to develop your pedagogical practice around both metacognition and oracy.

***Please are limited hence early booking recommended.***
