Event Description

Support for Learning, Pastoral Care

This 90-minute online course builds on ‘What is FASD?’

This session looks at how to use a brain-based approach to support areas of lagging skills in young people who may have FASD and how to help them to harness their strengths so that they can achieve and succeed. It includes preferred learning styles, sensory profiles and supports, social and emotional skill-building in addition to effective supports for academic tasks.

The Programme is open to all and is particularly relevant to those in Support for Learning roles, those seeking professional development in supporting neurodiverse pupils, pastoral staff and those who support care experienced / adopted pupils.

***Colleagues must register for Part 1 to be enrolled on Part 2***
