Event Description

Based on the success of the recent Reconnector programmes GRJ Education have led over the past two years, we are delighted to welcome colleagues from the 2023/2024 cohort to “reconnect” for three 90-minute digital units spread throughout this academic year.

Units are led by Gareth and colleagues from our GRJ-SCIS team, and are planned to use the content of last year’s programmes throughout, as a catalyst to enable

  • reflection on the impact that last year’s programme has had, both personally and in the wider-school context
  • the sharing of professional priorities and ambitions for 2024/2025, and evaluation of their progress throughout the year
  • the sharing of successes and continued challenges, and discussion of tactics to enhance further success and overcome the challenges.

This Reconnector cohort is limited to a maximum of 12, so it allows some intense work together as well as an opportunity to develop a formula which will – most importantly – work for you to maximise impact. We will devote some time to discussing this formula during unit one.

Unit one (Monday October 7th 2024 19.30-21.00)

Six months since programme completion – the opportunity to share and discuss:

  • One personal priority/ambition, one team priority/ambition and one whole school priority/ambition which you hope to achieve within a 12-month period
  • How you intend to measure their success, and by when
  • What you predict might be your biggest professional challenge this year.

Unit 2 (Monday January 27th 2025 19.30-21.00)

Mid-point re-group and success criteria review:

  • What is working well thus far, and why?
  • What challenges still exist, why and how might these be overcome?
  • Where am I with my own Professional Learning (PL)?

Unit 3 (Monday May 12th 2025 19.30-21.00)

End-point re-group and success criteria review:

  • What has been the outstanding success/es of this year, and why?
  • What hasn’t worked, and why?
  • What are my professional priorities and ambition for 2025/2026, and why?

Extra note

During the past two years of running this Reconnector, we have sustained and developed further some fabulous professional relationships with our colleagues – and 1-1 support often goes way beyond the programme brief, which is absolutely fine –  exactly as we like it!

**NB Colleagues registering for the first module will automatically be registered on the remaining ones**
